Nicolas Garcia is a dynamic and highly accomplished Senior Executive with more than 20 years of success in the engineering and developing industries. Leveraging extensive experience with complex problem-solving skills, Nicolas is a valuable asset for startup engineering, manufacturing, e-commerce, education, healthcare, technology, industrial engineering and information services companies seeking expert assistance with web development, open source communication, databases, data management, or how to scale a team from 5 to 50 people and set up processes to make the teams successful. His key areas of expertise include tenacity, leadership, software development, big data, and goal-oriented approaches.  

Nicolas was Vice President of Research and Development at Telmate. His responsibilities included managing architectural decisions, setting global product roadmap direction, ideating new features and products, and developing prototypes for market viability assessment. He also worked across various departments (IT, Development, DEVOPS, and Customer Service) and spent 30% of his time coding in java, ruby, rails, and many other languages. Nicolas moved out of the day to day management of the engineering team and worked with a smaller team to manage specific projects. He developed a mobile Android tablet phone calling application for jails/prisons in the U.S., allowing inmates to make calls anywhere from their cells. In addition, he managed an engineering team to revamp Telmate’s kiosk solution to increase uptime, automate deployment, and decrease maintenance by 60%. 

Nicolas holds a BA, Finance, and Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.  He has more than eight patents.
